What Room Plan Software Do You Use for Your House?

I have failed in the past when it comes to planning and implementing design ideas in our home. I didn’t have good software to help me in my endeavor, and ended up having to drastically change my plans.

    google sketchup rocks if you arent new to it and you have a good graphics if you want to get good at google sketch up run it ocsionaly use for small things at first then larger things by small and large i mean dont go complex start with simple things like how to lay out a simple park and use the objects you can get online then learn to designn your own from the ones you have seen then go full scale and make every thing by your self i am a full time 3d deigner it took months to lean but its worth

    I don’t like planning software. It can lock you into a preconceived idea or something in favor of a particular manufacturer. Google sketchup is more “open source” and better for tweaking things. The blocks will allow you to also see the objects in 3D.
