Critique my blog design?

   ok.. so your font is two big and the lettering is too thin, it’s taking up a lot of space but still not as easy to read as it could be.

   Your menu bar is too wide, too much of the screen is being wasted on white space because of it.

   I’m not crazy about the colour, it seems dated or something and thetre are too many tones. You use mainly orange but one has a pink, one has a green and one has a brown tone. Use one colour in varying shades, but not tones.

   Ok thats it… oh and some pictures might snazz it up a bit

   You don’t sound like a redneck to me. I thought college was supposed to be the best adventure of a persons life, instead you are talking about the cost of books, tuition and student loans, not to mention the dangers of credit cards for students. Maybe you could lighten
   up and help these students find something to look forward to besides the high interest rates they will have to pay for their education.
   If you feel you have to leave the text as is then at least use brighter colors as
   that brownish orange is a little old fashion and maybe throw in a picture or two.
