When word of this movie - which was to premiere on Christmas Eve - was leaked to the presses the “concerned” public was so outraged that there were picket lines in front of the theaters with calls to the theater owners NOT to show this film… The studio yanked the movie and agreed not to release it … but with the advent of video the studio released it anyway and it instantly became a cult classic **
